THE JOURNEY MAP

The Journey Map is an innovative tool designed to support AU-GRAP Phase 1 Member States in integrating gender equality and social inclusion into national climate actions across the AU-GRAP priority areas. It complements the Gender-Responsive Roadmap by translating its strategic directions into a practical and actionable country-level pathway for implementation. 

The Journey Map is structured around five phases, each phase outlining proposed actions to support the advancement of inclusive and gender-responsive climate actions. While the phases are presented sequentially, they are not intended to be implemented in a strictly linear manner.

The Journey Map recognizes that progress is iterative and evolves through continuous learning, adaptation, and refinement. In doing so, it provides Member States with a flexible, dynamic, and context-responsive pathway to strengthen inclusive climate actions over time.
